Please note, that all fees will be charged in DKK. The prices quoted in EUR are therefore indicative prices.

The following items are included in the participant fee

  • Participation in the Congress
  • The XXVI FIDE Proceedings
  • A congress bag including the full programme, name badge etc.
  • Lunches during the congress
  • Coffee/tea in breaks during congress days
  • Welcome Reception at the City Hall of Copenhagen on Wednesday 28 May 2014
  • Reception at the University of Copenhagen on Thursday 29 May 2014.
  • Social event on Friday 30 May 2014 – further information will be provided when available

The following items are included in the accompanying person fee

  • Welcome Reception at the City Hall of Copenhagen on Wednesday 28 May 2014
  • Reception at the University of Copenhagen on Thursday 29 May 2014.
  • Social event Friday on 30 May 2014 – further information will be provided when available

Accommodation

Special reduced congress prices have been negotiated with 5 hotels in the vicinity of the congress venue. It is possible to book one of these hotels when you register. If you have any questions please contact the Congress Secretariat at participants@discongress.com.

On-site registration

Registration made later than 26 May 2014 will be considered as on-site registration and you must anticipate minor delays at the registration desk in connection with issuing of documentation and settlement of accounts.

Final registration

Participants must register at the Registration Desk at the congress venue, Tivoli Congress Center, upon arrival at the Congress. Please remember to bring your confirmation of participation.

Payment

Payment must be made in Danish Kroner (DKK) to the order of FIDE, c/o DIS Congress Service and remitted as follows:

  • By bank transfer to account no. 4180 - 4180 791183 (FIDE)IBAN no. DK8030004180791183
    Swift code: DABADKKK in Danske Bank, Frederiksberggade 1, DK-1459 Copenhagen K, Denmark.
  • By electronic invoice (only for Danish delegates). På grund af den lange ekspeditionstid for EAN-fakturaer, er denne betalingsmåde ikke mulig senere end 30 dage før konference start. EAN gebyr er på kr 39,-
  • By charging your Credit Card

Due to high credit card fees the conference organiser appreciates payments made by bank transfer.

IMPORTANT:

Please remember to state FIDE and participant’s name on all money transfers to the Congress Secretariat.


If you have made a late payment, please bring copy of payment to the congress.

Terms and conditions

Confirmation

All registrations received after 26 May 2014 will be processed on site. A written confirmation will not be released after this date. Please remember to bring your written confirmation for presentation upon request. If you have made a late payment, please also bring a copy of payment to the congress.

It is your personal responsibility that all details such as address, booked events, number of tickets, hotel reservation, date of arrival and departure, etc. are in accordance to your wishes. We therefore strongly recommend that you read and check the letter of confirmation of registration carefully to avoid errors. In the event of any errors in the confirmed, please contact DIS Congress Service in writing immediately.

In the event that DIS Congress Service has not received your full payment for the congress, ordered events/tours including free events will be cancelled without any further notice. The cancelled events/tours can be re-booked and paid on-site if space is available.

Cancellation of participation (a written request is mandatory)

Written notice of non-attendance must be sent to the congress secretariat at participants@discongress.com. All refunds will be processed after the congress.

Pre-registered delegates and/or accompanying persons, who are unable to attend the congress, will have their paid fees refunded as follows:

  • 15 March 2014: 20% will be charged as a processing fee.
  • Between 16 March 2014 and 16 April: 50 % will be charged as a processing fee.
  • After 17 April: no refund.
